description of organisation

CAMPO BASE is a social cooperative and it was established in December 2008 as a type B social cooperative, which means its main aim is the inclusion of people with fewer opportunities through its activities. It operates in the sector of fruit and vegetable and livestock sector according to the organic method. In this sector, Campo Base has the objective of including people with fewer opportunities, through training / employment and work integration activities.
The cooperative engages, in fact, in the employment of disadvantaged people, being in constant contact with the institutions (Department of Mental Health, UMEA, municipal bodies), furthermore we host internships for unemployed young people in our company, thanks to the agreement with the Centre for Employment of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino.
We organise social integration activity thanks to projects with schools and other urban realities. This last innovative aspect of the company allows to bring any citizen closer to new realities, such as disability, respect and respect of the environment in which we live.
The cooperative is made up of a coordination and management group, as well as members, volunteers and employees, both disabled and not. Today Campo Base, together with its working partners, cultivates about ten hectares of land (vegetables) and raises a small courtyard animals, following a natural, ecological method and above all respecting the individual.
We support the principle of "ZERO WASTE", since all waste is reused not only for feeding the chickens but also for our compost. In this sector too, both agricultural workers and workers from disadvantaged categories are involved, as well as social welfare work grants. We sell our agricultural products in the market in a shop and in a restaurant that we manage.
