African Centre for Development and Research Promotes the visibility of young people and minorities in UK and Europe in practical ways to prevent rights abuses experienced by minority groups by empowering them with a view work across barriers and lines of divide with a view to creating a viable platform of mutual collaboration between minority groups and the broader society in a framework that promotes mutual respect respect and creation of a more open society which is devoid of acrimony and stereotype.
• Memberships are Organizational and Individually based. ACDR seeks to serve as a primary catalyst for enhancing Migrant and refugees and minority group participation in issues relating to non violent conflict transformation, governance, human rights and social inclusion in UK and Europe.
• ACDR implements are projects through face to face training sessions, e-training sessions, webiners, seminars and community focused group meetings with the use of New media.
• African Centre Development and Research employ research approach in collating data for effective project execution. The organization work principally with youth and young people between the ages of 15 to 30 years in UK and Europe. The Organisation is based in Brighton South East of England which has been famous for her touristic attractions. It also a magnet for young people and it is a city considered has most open to vulnerable people because of her track records in celebrating her residents differences. Brighton is also designated City of Sanctuary to refugees and asylum seekers because it seeks to celebrate the contribution of those that have come here for safety fearing Isolation and exclusion. It is in this safe environment that ACDR operates from this safe place.
