The National Conference of Student Governments (Hallgatói Önkormányzatok Országos Konferenciája, acronym HÖOK) established a company to give professional service for the higher education students mainly focusing on sport and leisure time activities in 2009. The company titled National Conference of Student Governments Nonprofit Limited Company. Based on the needs from the target group and the owner the company grew quickly and giving other services like organizing conferences, commercial presentations, trainings, seminars and other educational activities. The company working together with the main organization HÖOK, which has set tasks and activities declared by the higher educational law. The HÖOK Company support the main organization to manage the lead student’s activities, programmes and projects. The most famous programmes are EFOTT Festival, Educatio International Educational EXPO, Credit Party for the higher educational students.
The main target group for the company are the higher education students especially in the aged between 18 and 35. Based on the youth event that they organize during the year the target group’s composition is really variety from the teenagers till the adults and older generations are represented also on the events.
The HÖOK Company is the main organizer of the festival titled: Egyetemisták és Főiskolások Országos Turisztikai Találkozója (acronym: EFOTT) - English name: University and College Students National Touristic Meeting is the oldest cultural festival in Hungary which was operating since 1976. The first event was held nearby Pécs. The cultural festival location was moved almost year-by year, but in the last 5 years Velence lake and it vicinity giving space to maintain the event. The EFOTT became one of the most attractive open-air cultural music festivals in Hungary, which had 100.000 visitors in 2015, 110.000 visitors in 2017 and 2018 and 119.000 visitors in 2019. The main aim of the event is to giving experience and high-quality services in culture, touristic attractions, gastronomy, civic and sports activities for the target group of 18-30 years old youth.
The EFOTT festival giving the opportunity for the intellectual programmes, a special area is operating just for the civic programmes by the civic and governmental institutions and NGOs. The area is called Civic Agora, which host more than 40 NGOs, governmental institutions and programmes. The represented organizations are serving attractive programmes, services for the festival visitors. Among the represented organizations can be found just example Maltese Charity Aid Service, National WheelChair Association, National Tax Office or The Tempus Public Foundation too. From the year 2017 the universities and their student unions, student associations also can be found nearby the Civic Agora
Besides the Civic attractions the sport programs are also important in the EFOTT festival. This festival covering most sports in one place, more than 30 different ones. The visitors can do sports during the daily activities even from the 1st day of the festival, for example beach volley ball, football, swimming, water polo, canoe kayak etc.
