EDUGEP started its activity in 2006 aiming to create, develop and manage projects of social, cultural and pedagogical nature, especially in the Education and Training context. The quality of our rigorous work has been a large contribution to the hallmark that the company has achieved at a regional level. Our objectives go beyond this, as we constantly seek to become a national reference in all the areas in which we intervene. EDUGEP is an Authorized and Recognized Extracurricular Educational Center (license nº 12.0272/ DRELVT) by the Ministry of Education and a Training Entity certified by the Ministry of Employment (DGERT license, October 24, 2012 / APCER license through ISO9001: 2008) for the quality of the services provided. EDUGEP has 20 full-time employees, 5 trainees and 250 service providers (self-employed). The company has two operational facilities - a Pedagogical Center, where it develops school support and training activities, and administrative facilities, where it develops all other activities, also having a room to develop training.
According to the Portuguese Classification of Economic Activities, EDUGEP is registered in the following areas of activity: 85201 - Lower Secondary Education; 85591 – Professional training; 85600 - Education Activities and Guidance Services; 85593 - Other teaching activities. EDUGEP services are provided in four main areas: Education; Psychology and Counseling; Training; and Consulting. EDUGEP has extensive experience in different areas of intervention, each representing a differentiated asset. As far as adult education is concerned, we currently have 17 validated areas for action: teacher training and trainers, foreign languages and literature, trade, marketing and publicity, management and administration, computer science, computer skills for regular users, electricity and energy, agricultural and animal production, health, child and youth support services, social work and guidance, hospitality and catering, sport, protection of people and property, and occupational safety and health. Thus, we work in such diverse fields as language teaching (through our Language School), the continuous training of sports actors (coaches, technical directors, physical exercise technicians) in conjunction with the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, and training of trainers. All our intervention is governed by the highest quality standards, responding to the certification requirements of the Directorate-General for Employment and Labor Relations.
As for Pedagogical Support, we provide pedagogical support services to young people in a school context, applied to every year of the Portuguese school system, even to university. Through an initial diagnosis conducted by an educational psychologist, the intervention areas are listed and 3 ERASMUS PLUS PROGRAMME (2014-2020) the corresponding services are prescribed; thus, by designing a personalized intervention adapted to the specific needs of each student, we achieve a parallel accompaniment to the true development of the competences of each one, always with constant feedback between the pedagogical team and the clients.
EDUGEP provides consulting and support services for the development of the most diverse types of projects - from simple business plans to applications for European funds, such as Europe 2020, we respond positively to all kinds of challenges that we face.
Also, in the area of technology EDUGEP is at the forefront - since 2016 we are the organizer of ETECH PORTUGAL, a technological fair with national expression that brings to Setubal the state of the art of what is done in the area of ICT and Electronics. In addition to the exhibition, ETECHPORTUGAL is a space for sharing knowledge, organizing a series of conferences and workshops. Educational Projects are one of EDUGEP’s letters of introduction - we are responsible for the organization of Extra-Curricular Activities in 1st cycle schools in the district of Setubal and Beja, in a total of 43 schools and more than 5800 students involved. Likewise, we are partners of the Portuguese Institute for Employment and Vocational Training for the implementation of training courses for unemployed young adults in the Setubal peninsula.
Our history of participation in European projects is marked by a strict collaboration relationship in which we strive for rigor and cooperation.
Edugep’s contribution to the project applies to several areas: in fact, our scope of action is comprehensive, and includes areas ranging from Training to Technology.
Edugep has established several partnerships with local and regional School Aggregations, thus working with a wide range of students from different ages and teachers of different areas; we have also established a network with several institutions that have been participating in several activities.
Furthermore, Edugep has participated in a consortium for the development of professional schools in Angola, a project developed with trainers from Edugep who developed training courses for students/trainees in Angola and helped the different institutions to implement their training projects.
