Description of organisation

Kairos Europe, established in 2011, is a London based organisation dedicated to promoting the development of programmes aimed at increasing the intercultural exchanges between European countries, promoting equality and social inclusion.
Our mission is to provide quality training opportunities for youths and adults in order to improve their knowledge and skills and enhance their career prospects.
Kairos’ approach widely relies on using digital tools, art, culture and non-formal education to develop skill of learners of all ages and background, including people with fewer opportunities, improving well-being and social inclusion both at local and European level.
We are expert on supporting educational mobilities by both hosting and sending students, staffs, teachers, social workers, or any relevant and motivated person for short- and long-term mobility projects and trainings.

Our activities always focus on promoting intercultural links, employability, social inclusion, solidarity, healthy behaviours of youth and people of all ages:
*We organise professional development courses for people involved in education who want to acquire new competences. Courses include digital classrooms, interculturality, school management, art and sports in education, and social inclusion.
*We host students and graduates from all over Europe wishing to do a work experience in the UK in different vocational areas.
*We have taken part in several international partnership projects, focused in particular on languages, IT, disadvantaged categories (migrants, unemployed, parents facing social and economic disadvantage), and projects promoting integration and equality. In our innovative approach, we seek to achieve these goals through culture and the arts.
*We also aim to bring together partners coming from all European countries, in order to develop effective plans with the purpose of sharing practices, discussing problems and compare solutions on specific topics.
*Moreover we arrange study visits for professionals who want to improve their skills in their field of expertise or have an insight into their professional field in the UK. We can arrange visits in the following areas: International Development, Charity Sector, Immigration Policies, Arts, Active Ageing and Education.

We are also specialized in promoting new teaching methodologies in order to improve the school performances and tackle early school leaving in youngsters. Our courses aim is to use different types of arts as well as ICT tools in teaching traditional subjects such us literature, history, languages and so on. We especially use : theatre, life drawing, animation, video making, photography.

As part of our training courses, we are especially sensitive in the issues related to developing social skills for living and working in today's multi-cultural societies, being promoters of positive approaches to multi-cultural issues, and learning to leave in harmony with each other.

Kairos Europe is also participating and leading Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2 projects to promote education and training for all, through our strong network of partners across Europe which we collaborate with on several topics such as: IT and languages, migrations, Lifelong Learning, Youth Policies, Creative Arts, Social Inclusion and so on.
