The Casa Emmaus Impresa Sociale Association is a voluntary association whose mission is: to welcome, to assistance, to provide therapy and rehabilitation of minors and adults, who are living in difficult situations, social minorities or are dependent of pathological and having problems with psychiatric pathologies.
The legal chair of the association is located in Iglesias, in the San Lorenzo area and it is registered under number 509 of the General Register of Volunteering of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia since 12 November 1996.
For the past 30 years it has been participated in the healthcare, rehabilitation and reintegration of people with addiction problems to psychoactive drugs (including alcohol), through a male therapeutic-rehabilitation community accredited by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Clause 1171 of 14.10.2016), it also includes a module for people who are addicted to drugs or abused by psychiatric pathologies.
Having an agreement with the Ministry of Grace and Justice, it has among its affected users to subject alternative measures to imprisonment, including house arrest.

The community also helps underage users by meaning of the agreement with the Ministry of Grace and Justice, department of Juvenile Justice with the treatment of underage users registered in the criminal record prot. No. 8809 of 18/12/2010.

The association has obtained from the Autonomous Region of Sardinia the final accreditation of a structure for residential socio-medical minors for treatment of adolescents and young adults with mental disorders and / or exposed to justice, assigned with clause n.1754 of 30.12. 2016.

Since February 2011 the association has been authorized, with the determination of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia n. 95, to operate with " Coexistence groups" for people who are addicted to drugs with psychiatric pathologies, definitively assigned with clause no. 216 of 5th of March 2014.

Together with other associations, it controls an orientation and listening desk, carrying out an important open service for the city of Iglesias.
Recently it obtained the accreditation of a social health structure for drug addicts in pregnancy and/or already a mother "La casa di Angela" (Determination RAS no. 495 of 29.05.2017) and the accreditation of a residential structure for women who were dependent on drugs and abused by psychiatric pathologies.

From 2011 to 2012, by virtue of the Convention conditioned by the Province of Carbonia Iglesias on 20 July 2011, protocol no. 713, as part of the Ordinance of the President of the Council of Ministers n. 3933/2011, managed the refugee shelter project.
Currently, by virtue of an agreement with the Prefecture of Cagliari, it manages two structures for the extraordinary reception in favor of foreign citizens living on the national territory and is related with the Social Services of the Municipality of Iglesias, two structures for the reception of minors unaccompanied migrants, authorized to operate according to Law 23.

Since 2016 it has been executive of the SPRAR Iglesias Project (Implementing executive of the Municipality of Iglesias) within which it controls four structures for a total of 20 ordinary places for welcoming women and families.

It is a member of the Coordination of Sardinian Therapeutical Communities and of the National Intercare Coordination in the regional which it is representative.
