description of organisation

ESTAR Association was born a little over a year ago and nowadays it assumes a very relevant role in the district of Beja, developing itself as a platform for logistical support and a first-rate service. The objective is to support people, families, institutions and entities, in preventing and / or supporting the resolution of problems that generate or also generate situations of exclusion and social fragility. In partnership with a wide range of entities in the field, ESTAR acts in the follow-up of risk situations, with vulnerable groups, satisfying their needs, developing transversal and complementary activities to the social intervention that already exists, with the capacity to respond immediately. One of the projects it is implementing is Projeto SER, which aims to tackle one of the biggest problems identified in the region: unemployment. With the SER Project, employability, training and motivation are promoted, developing work in terms of personal and social skills. Until today, ESTAR has numerous partnerships established, namely: all unions and parish councils in the municipality of Beja, the Municipality of Beja and Barrancos, EDIA - Development and Infrastructure Company of Alqueva, Nerbe - Núcleo Entrepreneurship in the Beja Region, ACOS - Southern Sheep Breeders Association, training companies based in Beja but with poles spread throughout the district, numerous IPSS, the Social Innovation Incubator of Baixo Alentejo, GNR, the Support Center for Victim of Domestic Violence, the Food Bank Against Hunger, European Anti-Poverty Network, Polytechnic Institute of Beja, National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Youth, CPCJ of Beja, CPCJ of Barrancos among many others.
