Description of organisation

Clash! Exchange & Learning is a German-Dutch organisation specialised in intercultural, international and educational exchanges. The goal of Clash’s! projects is to broaden the horizons of the participants and help them develop a greater consciousness for diversity, inclusivity and political citizenship. Following non-formal pedagogy and experiential learning, our most important teaching method is interaction. Through coming into contact with other people, the participants will learn about other (sub)cultures. This interaction is achieved by stimulating and creating an active and open dialogue between the participants, the leaders and the people of the city and country of the exchange.
While the small team at Clash! is made up of staff members from a variety of educational backgrounds and professional interests, we are united in our passion to broaden the horizons of youth of today and tomorrow. Our added value comes from international and multicultural experience. Our interests and passions are shared in the development and implementation of innovative non-formal learning methods.

In order to achieve the objectives of Clash!, the focus within the daily work is on these following projects:

Vocational Schools:

Clash! Exchange & Learning organises internships and educational exchanges to Berlin for students and teachers from vocational/technical schools and universities. These projects not only allow the students to get to know the German work environment and build an international network, but also give the them knowledge about the city of Berlin, German language and German culture. Further, during their stay in Berlin they will interact with a variety of themes which take into consideration the four dimensions of citizenship.
The goal is to broaden the horizons of the students by confronting them with new situations. Through short-term international projects, we can create a greater consciousness of other countries and give the students the experience and confidence to stay for a longer period in another country. By taking a quick look at an international work environment in another country, students and teachers can learn fresh, new ideas and work methods to bring back home.

Professionals:

In addition to organising educational exchanges for students, we are equipped to build programs for professionals or educators. Concerning practical matters, such as those concerning accommodation and culinary needs, these projects operate much like those for the students. In these projects, however, the program can explore a variety of topics in depth, such as the German language or culture, non-formal or experiential learning methods or a variety of academic topics.

Exchange:

In addition to these projects in Berlin, Clash! Exchange & Learning also organises international exchange and training programs for youth and social/cultural professionals. These projects take place in coordination with other European and North-African social organisation within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program or the program of the Deutsch-Französische Jugendwerke (DFJW).

Internships:

in the 8 years of the organisation's existence, Clash! has built a large local network with Berlin social organizations for the organization of short and long term international internships.

Clash! Exchange & Learning ist eine deutsch-niederländische Organisation, die sich auf interkulturellen, internationalen und Bildungsaustausch spezialisiert hat. Das Ziel der Clash!-Projekte ist es, den Horizont der Teilnehmenden zu erweitern und ihnen zu helfen, ein größeres Bewusstsein für Vielfalt, Inklusivität und politische Bürgerschaft zu entwickeln. Neben der non-formalen Bildung und dem Erfahrungslernen ist unsere wichtigste Bildungsmethode die Interaktion. Durch den Kontakt mit anderen Menschen lernen die Teilnehmenden andere (Sub-)Kulturen kennen. Diese Interaktion wird durch die Anregung und Schaffung eines aktiven und offenen Dialogs zwischen den Teilnehmenden, den Leitenden und den Menschen aus der jeweiligen Austausch-Stadt und dem jeweiligen Austausch-Land erreicht.
Das kleine Team von Clash! besteht aus Mitarbeitenden mit unterschiedlichen Bildungshintergründen und beruflichen Interessen. Uns eint jedoch die Leidenschaft, den Horizont der Jugend von heute und morgen zu erweitern. Unser Mehrwert ergibt sich aus der internationalen und multikulturellen Erfahrung. Unsere Interessen und Leidenschaften teilen wir in der Entwicklung und Umsetzung innovativer non-formaler Lernmethoden.
Um die Ziele von Clash! zu erreichen, liegt der Schwerpunkt innerhalb der täglichen Arbeit auf den folgenden Projekten:
Berufsschulen:
Clash! Exchange & Learning organisiert Praktika und Bildungsaustausche nach Berlin für Schülerinnen, Schüler und Lehrende von Berufsschulen und Sekundarschulen. Diese Projekte ermöglichen Schülerinnen und Schülern nicht nur das Kennenlernen der deutschen Arbeitswelt und dem Aufbau eines internationalen Netzwerks, sondern vermitteln ihnen auch Kenntnisse über die Stadt Berlin, die deutsche Sprache und die deutsche Kultur.
Ziel ist es, den Horizont der Lernenden zu erweitern, indem sie mit neuen Situationen konfrontiert werden. Durch kurzfristige internationale Projekte können wir ein größeres Bewusstsein für andere Länder schaffen und den Schülerinnen und Schülern die Erfahrung und das Selbstvertrauen vermitteln, für einen längeren Zeitraum in einem anderen Land zu bleiben. Durch einen kurzen Blick auf ein internationales Arbeitsumfeld in einem anderen Land können sie neue Ideen entwickeln und neue Arbeitsmethoden erlernen, die sie mit nach Hause nehmen können.
Fachleute:
Neben der Organisation von Bildungsaustauschprogrammen für Schülerinnen und Schüler organisieren wir auch Programme für Fachleute oder Freiwillige. In Bezug auf praktische Angelegenheiten, wie Unterkunft und den Aufenthalt, funktionieren diese Projekte gleich. Allerdings können diese Projekte Programme beinhalten, die ein größeres Spektrum von Themen abdecken, wie z.B. die deutsche Sprache oder Kultur, nicht-formale oder erfahrungsbezogene Lernmethoden oder eine Vielzahl akademischer Themen.
Austausche:
Zusätzlich zu diesen Projekten in Berlin hat Clash! Exchange & Learning auch internationale Austausch- und Ausbildungsprogramme für junge Menschen und Fachleute entwickelt. Diese Projekte finden in Abstimmung mit anderen europäischen und nordafrikanischen Organisationen der Zivilgesellschaft im Rahmen des ERASMUS+-Programms oder des Programms der Deutsch-Französischen Jugendwerke (DFJW) statt.

Praktika:
In den 8 Jahren seines Bestehens hat Clash! ein großes lokales Netzwerk mit Berliner sozialen Organisationen für die Organisation von kurz- und langfristigen internationalen Praktika aufgebaut.
