Description of organisation
Ekoloska disciplina is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded by a group of University students in Belgrade (Serbia) in 2012 with the idea to be the change that we want to see in the world. Since then Ekoloska disciplina has constantly grown because of an ideal that everyone is welcome to join regardless of profession, level of education or age... However, one thing has remained unchanged, our vision - a harmonious community which is sustainably developing, in which there is room for all and in which our differences are our unifier and our advantage. After almost a decade of voluntary work, numerous projects and actions in various areas and many volunteers we still believe in this idea; we still see a green world of equal opportunities and friendships and we still strive towards it.
We, in Ekoloska disciplina, strongly believe that there are no small or irrelevant ideas, projects or problems especially in areas of environmental protection and social justice, which is why within less than ten years of our work, we have had numerous projects and actions, almost all of which were based on voluntary work and implemented in local communities, gathering local resources.
Raising the awareness of people, especially kids and the youth, about questions concerning the environment and ways of bettering it, as well as sustainable development and social inclusion were and are among our top priorities. Furthermore, we are an organisation dedicated to inspiring enthusiasm through our own example and work and encourage people into action.
