InvestBraga is a legal entity under private law, with municipal nature, designated as a local company, endowed with legal personality, administrative and financial autonomy with own assets, and works on the attraction of investment and entrepreneurs, making the innovation factor a major competitive advantage.
InvestBraga's main object is the exploration of activities of general interest and the promotion of local and regional development, by delegation from the Municipality of Braga, through the pursuit of activities aimed at the economic dynamization of the region of Braga.
It has a multidisciplinary team with more than 30 staff members capable of supporting several activities, namely in the field of youth by assisting the requalification and integration of youngsters into the job market; a dedicated team that gives support to existing companies in the municipality and promotes international investment capture; a team that is dedicated to the promotion and organization of fairs, congresses, seminars and events; and finally a team dedicated to entrepreneurship and start-up support.

InvestBraga’s activity covers four main areas:
1. Economic dynamization and national and international investment attraction for the Municipality, through the Agency for the Economic Dynamization of Braga, responsible for the Job Platform “Work in Braga” and for many activities related to the attraction and retainment of talent, as well as for the upskilling and reskilling of the youth.
2. The development of pre-acceleration, acceleration and incubation programs for entrepreneurs and startups, through Startup Braga, which is an innovation hub designed to support entrepreneurial projects of great potential.
3. The promotion and organization of fairs, congresses, seminars and events, in Altice Forum Braga, aligned with the strategic positioning of the city in the national and international context.
4. The most recent business unit of the organization, Braga Youth Center, whose mission is to ensure accommodation and work conditions, capable of promoting Non-Formal Education, Human Rights, Citizenship and Youth Associations. It will seek to implement youth policies from a local and international perspective.

Braga Youth Hostel is managed by InvestBraga, most particularly by Braga Youth Centre. Here, the volunteers can be provided with the best accommodation, preferably in double rooms. All the rooms have a private WC, air-conditioning system, free Wi-Fi access, a hair dryer, bath towels, shampoo and shower gel. The volunteer will also have access to different services and facilities: the Centre’s restaurant where the daily meals are provided, always considering different types of eating patterns and food restrictions; the Hostel Kitchen, in the case of someone who would prefer to cook their own meal; the Common Room, which has a television, vending machines and other technologies or even the Terrace, for relaxing moments at open air.
Braga Youth Centre is a recent business unit of InvestBraga, with the mission to ensure accommodation and work conditions capable of promote a non-formal education, the Human Rights and the development of Creativity, Entrepreneurship, Citizenship and Youth projects.
Its activity is based on values such as sustainability, inclusion, cultural diversity, accuracy and management transparency, continue appreciation of human resources, innovation and service quality, professionalism, social and environmental responsibility.
It wants to be an equipment of reference to realize Youth Work with high quality standards, capable of implement Youth Municipal Policies on a local and international perspective and to be recognized internationally with the “CoE quality label” for Youth Centres, asserting itself as a space of experimentation of innovative methodologies.
The Human Rights are one of the fundamental basis of Braga Youth Centre’s work, being one of its objectives the promotion and awareness of Human Rights. With this end, it was implemented an illustrative pillar with the 30 articles of the Declaration of Human Rights and chosen 30 personalities relevant in this theme, 15 women and 15 men from 30 different countries, represented in each room. Also, Braga Youth Centre is applying to the Council of Europe Quality Label for Youth Centres. This quality label distinguishes Youth Centres based on the development of a transversal concept to an entire hostel dedicated to the theme of Human Rights.

This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
