Aakre Community Centre is a place where people can spend their free time through participating in different activities and events.
The main aim is to retain and develop local cultural traditions, provision of free time activities and organization and coordination of youth work in Aakre area.
Our target group is local community - kids, youngsters, adults and old people and all activities are based on them. We organize hobby groups, events, trainings. In Community Centre there are lots of oppurtunities to spend free time there - it is possible to play volleyball, basketball, tabel tennis, boardgames, Playstation or just be there. For youngsters there is also separate room where they can be. The community Centre ise opened for free time activities monday to friday 16.00-19.00, but opening times are flexible and will change according to activities and events.
Aakre is a small village in Elva municipality in Tarty county, we are in South Estonia. From Aakre to Elva is about 25 km and to Tartu about 50 km. Tartu is the second largest city in Estonia and Tartu is a Town of University. It is very good transportaton between Aakre to Elva and to Tartu, it is possible to travel with bus and with train. By the train it is also possible to travel from here to Estonian capital city Tallinn. Aakre is a rural area with woods and fields, near the village is a Lake Võrtsjärv. In Aakre there is about 250 people in Elva municipality there is about 14 000 people. In Aakre we have Community Centre, primary school, kindergarten, libary and shop. Our municipality center Elva is a very beautiful small city where is about 5600 people. In Elva there are youth centre, hobby and training centre, cultural centre, music school, shops, two beautiful lakes and so on.
In Aakre Community Centre there is two workers - head of the centre and hostess.
