The National Volunteering Center (CNV) is a mixed second-level association. It has more than 100 Members from voluntary organizations, service structures, Local Authorities, Regions and other stakeholders active in the promotion of volunteering, ranging from social and health sector, to cultural, to environmental. The number and variety of members makes the CNV unique in its kind. The Center is enrolled in the Regional Volunteering Register of Tuscany and in the Register of Legal Entities of the Prefecture of Lucca.
The CNV aims at:
- offering a "Forum" promoted by joint initiative of the Public Institutions and the "Social Private", to achieve an organic connection between initiatives of solidarity promoted by volunteers, at the service of all citizens - in particular of the marginalized ones - as well as between these institutions and the structures of the State, at all levels, implementing
services;
- carrying out training, study, research and documentation activities;
- promoting exchanges of experience between associations to grow and qualify their activities, linking social realities and initiatives in the country;
- carrying out initiatives with national volunteering organizations operating in Europe and other continents and offering participation in the coordination of the sector;
- improving knowledge of volunteering and private social organizations, carrying out an information service to the population and improving relations between citizens and organizations.
- This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
