description of organisation

The Foyer de Jeunes Travailleurs is a non-profit association under the 1901 law, which aims to manage:

1- A Young Workers' Home that supports young people aged 16 to 30 in social and professional integration for their accommodation, catering, socio-educational activities, sport and leisure.
2- A social restaurant: open for all audiences who are members of the association.
3- A digital public space.

The mission of the FJT is to promote the socialization of young people aged 16 to 30 through housing and through various forms of action concerning daily life, employment, mobility, training, leisure, culture, food ...

This translates into the work of 3 main axes on a daily basis:

- Promote access to autonomy; life in the FJT is a step before independent housing. The transition to FJT for young people, promotes the progressive management of everyday life, and the exercise of responsibility.
- To promote the learning of citizenship for life in the community.
- Develop socialization through actions based on the valorization of the potential of residents both in their know-how and their know-how. The goal is to work on personal development using the collective.

This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
