Description of organisation

Ordu is a province and thirtieth most populous city in Turkey. According to the data of 2019, its population is 771.932. Ordu Metropolitan Municipality continues its social, cultural and artistic activities and services for young people. As an autonomous municipality with a strong civil society, open to national and international dialogue and having a common business culture; with the support of the city council, the university and the governorship; Based on the principle of participatory and deliberative democracy, we ensure that citizens take an active role in the decision-making processes of the city, and we struggle to achieve the vision of the city. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we aim to make it easier for the citizens to realize their city vision in the most effective way. For this, we take it as our duty to democratize decision processes by increasing our space and human resources qualitatively, by facilitating the work of our Councils and Working Groups, by including the citizens in the decision processes, by protecting our supra-political work ethic, and by observing equality and participation in all our services, especially budget resources.
