Description of organisation

Pancar Association was established in 2015, in Pancar, İzmir. Our vision is to develop the community with the participation of the community itself. We believe that an important part of the improving community is the improving young people and increasing the awareness of the importance of active citizenship in the Pancar. The association is to produce and support projects for Pancar in the fields of social dialogue, social inclusion, equal opportunities an increasing participation in sports, transportation and mobility, international cooperation, international relations, development cooperation, foreign language teaching and learning, creativity and culture.

Our target group is young people between 13-35 years who have motivation to improve themselves and our community. All members of the Pancar Association are carried out on a voluntary basis. It is managed by a young and elected staff with an average age of 25, consisting of 20 members of the board of directors and supervisors. Our management holds regular face-to-face or online meetings every week. Decisions are made, implemented and audited regularly, depending on the needs, via teleconference. The association works towards the rights and services of approximately 5000 people. 60% of those in the field of study are young people. With our strong volunteer team, we always seek new opportunities and projects to help the community.

We are creating, organising projects that help our community to improve and develop our volunteers to create awareness of active citizenship and help them to become an active person.

  • This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
