There is Waldorf Kindergartenfounded 22 year in Szekszárd in Tolna county.In 2 groups there are 40children, aged 3-6. Our aims to broaden andenrich the European and international atmosphere of the kindergarten. We wouldlike to provide open and creative basis for the children to develop theirpersonality.We carry out all ouractivities based on the Waldorf method, which offers children the possibilityto choose on the one hand, and supports their independent decision-making andproblem-solving skills on the other. With this method, in addition to perceptionand mother tongue development, we offer activities for the little ones in thefield of getting to know everyday life and our environment. We make the toolsfor our activities ourselves. We work with silent games every day, where we putthe focus of development on attention, patience, social sensitivity to eachother. Using simple, natural toys and self-made dolls, animals, etc,  stimulate the imagination. We think importantthe environmental care and the healthy eating. Cultivating a relationship withnature, which helps to develop a sense of wonder and gratitude. Initiatingprocesses, encouraging, but not working for results. Not virtual, but realexperiences to build healthy relationships with to the world, without mediaParents and volunteers are alsoinvolved in the use of this method, e.g. we create games and development toolstogether, and we have the opportunity to provide information about the method
We have weekly and dailyschedules, planned the development fields:
- Get to know the outside world– get to know the nature
– Healthy lifestyle- Tales, poems, drawing,handicraft
- “Playing with numbers” –Figures
- Traditions: songs, habits,dance
- Moving: – Gymnastics.
For the second yearrunning, our kindergarten operates as a garden kindergarten and in autumn andspring we are in the courtyard all day except for meals and sleep. The weekly scheduleof art activities:Monday - beeswaxweaving.Tuesday - beeswaxchalk drawing, field trip.Wednesday - wooldrawing.Thursday - loafbaking.Friday - watercolourpainting
We teach and grow up thechildren playfully and flexible way. There are mixed aged groups, by thissystem the younger children can see models and the learning process is easier.We have a close contact with the primary school and we bring the children toshow their life regularly. The days in the kindergarten are structured in: free-playtime, specific offers and actions with the group. Important part at thekindergarten are also activities with and for the parents and cooperation withother local associations to organise common events. We are active participantsin the cultural programs of the town.
