The Corum Saint Jean is managed by a non-profit association governed by the 1901 law. Its activities are based on a principle of solidarity and social utility.
The association has:
- an authorization for the activity of social and technical engineering
- an authorization for the activity of rental intermediation and social rental management
- and a Young Worker Home / Social Residence approval
Composed of several residences, it offers a diversity of the range of accommodation. Its mission is to help residents become independent and supportive citizens. To do this, the Corum Saint-Jean is developing three main areas: Hosting – Feeding – Supporting, by providing accommodation and catering facilities, by developing mixing and social diversity, and also promoting social integration, professional, cultural and health support.
The Corum Saint-Jean welcomes and accompanies a young public, aged 16 to 30, who have various situations (apprentices, work-study trainees, workers, temporary workers, trainees, etc.) in a wide variety of social and
family.
The residents are from Clermont-Ferrand and its metropolis, from the department and also from other horizons. Indeed, the Corum has about thirty different nationalities and welcomes foreign students, foreign language teachers, young refugees, young unaccompanied minors and young adults followed by Child Welfare.

This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
