Description of organisation

The Colegio Nuestra Señora del Huerto is a state-subsidised school which offers from Infant Education to Baccalaureate. The centre has 1300 pupils and 97 employees, of which 85 are teachers and 12 are non-teaching staff (management, administration, kitchen staff, cleaning, secretarial staff, etc.).

International openness, education in values and new technologies are the pillars of the school. That is why the main
activities follow this path.There are many Erasmus+ projects in English and French and we are an Erasmus+ Accredited centre.
There is even an Comité Erasmus+. There is also a Bilingual Section in English which has been established for 7 years and recently in French and exchanges with English and French-speaking countries are offered every year.
In addition, the Kiva Programme, developed by the Finnish Ministry of Education, is being implemented to combat bullying and whose effectiveness has been proven by rigorous scientific studies. In addition, gamification is fundamental as a working methodology. Tools such as Classcraft, ClassDojo or Kahoot are widely used in everyday lifewidely used in the day-to-day work of our teachers.

The objectives of our organisation are:
- To encourage the practice and learning of languages by the staff and students of our school on an equal basis
- Improve sunstainable development and environemental responsability in the practicies of our students and staff
- Improve digital skills of our students and staff
