Virginie Hériot's activity center is in the Grouin's Peak.
During the year, The "Barbe Brulée" Castel welcome pupils and their teachers who want to realize a pedagogical project link with marine environment or Breton heritage. This center belongs to Ile-de-France School.

A school field trip is a unique pedagogical experience for kids. It contributes to enrich learnings by bringing intellectual stimulation, which promotes the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Pedagogical projects carried out by the school are based on marine environment which surround the site, but also about the respect of it, the flora, the fauna and the sea life (landart, fishing, boat trip, kayak, oyster-farming...)
Mains objectives of the place are : Knowledge of and respect for the environment and heritage, the development of autonomy, the spirit of initiative, responsibility, socialization, respect for others and collective rules.
The structure welcomes pupils from the large section of kindergarten to high school from Monday to Friday (sometimes on weekends) in boarding school. There are 74 beds in the castle (main building) and 19 beds in the annex (located 100m away).
The team is made up of a director, a teacher, 2 facilitators, a maintenance agent, a cook and 4 general service agents.
The center is very frequented (about 7000 overnight stays per year).
