Located just 90 minutes from Paris, in the centre of the European cross-border region, Nancy is the beating heart of a metropolitan area which is home to over 260,000 people. Nancy combines all the attractions of a human-sized city with the services of a metropolis, thanks to its university hub (with 55,000 students, ranked among the 10 largest in France), its Regional University Hospital Centre, healthcare provision, its remarkable number of cultural and sports facilities, not to mention the many impressive parks and gardens. The city also boasts a rich historical heritage, as recognised on the UNESCO World Heritage List, with the site of Place Stanislas, which the French voted as their 2021 favourite monument.
