Description of organisation

The mission of the École de la 2eme Chance (E2C) is to ensure professional and social integration of young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who have dropped out of the school system without any degree or qualification, by offering them a work-study program with an original teaching method.
In 1998, the City of Marseille and the local authorities created the first school in Marseille, which became the reference among the 139 other campuses in France. This European initiative was born in Marseille and become a European, national and local objective.
In this approach, the trainee is at the heart of the system thanks to an individualized and global coaching which is adapted to his experience and his project.
To achieve this mission, the E2C Marseille offers an innovative training and each student is involved to learn core competencies and professional skills. On the one hand, the student will be able to be integrated in the society and on the other hand to allow his professional insertion more easily.
Each student will be involved in different activities and pedagogical projects in order to introduce them to cultural, social, civic and professional life.
At the end of the training period, the student receives a certificate called "Attestation de Compétences Acquises" which indicates the acquired skills and the internships completed. The objective of E2c Marseille is to offer a sustainable solution for professional and social integration.
