Description of organisation

FORUM ZUKUNFT e.V. (FZ) is an umbrella organization founded in 2000 in the community of Dörverden to support the local implementation of the Agenda 21. The association includes various working groups, organizations & activities.
OBJECTIVES of FZ:
- Stimulating & strengthening sustainable action in the economy, environment, culture & village community
- Development & promotion of sustainable ideas and projects
- Coordination of groups, organizations & activities involved in the agenda activities.
THE VILLAGE WESTEN with its about 1300 inhabitants is a part of the municipality of Dörverden & a central place of activites of FZ. Various groups, initiatives & associations implement the goals of Agenda 21 on different levels in Westen. Thereby a community of collaboration & solidarity in rural structures is promoted. Examples of this are, among others, the weekly KÜFA (kitchen for all), the forest kindergarten run by a parents' initiative, the pub in the village center which is run from an voluntary association, the multigenerational house, which was managed by FZ for several years, the open workshop as a project of FZ or the political events in the series "Dörverden discusses", which takes up various political topics.
The TARGET GROUP is generally the population of different ages and affiliations in the community, especially in the village Westen. Everyone in the village is invited to participate in the community structures in shaping them.

DER VEREIN FORUM ZUKUNFT e.V. (FZ) ist eine Dachorganisation, die im Rahmen der Agenda 21 in der Gemeinde Dörverden (im Landkreis Verden zwischen Bremen und Hannover) im Jahr 2000 gegründet wurde. Der Verein umfasst verschiedene Arbeitsgruppen, Organisationen und Aktivitäten.
ZIELE von FZ:
- Anregung und Stärkung zukunftsfähigen Handelns in Wirtschaft, Umwelt, Kultur und Dorfgemeinschaft
- Entwicklung und Förderung nachhaltiger Ideen und Vorhaben
- Koordination der in der Agenda wirkenden Gruppen, Organisationen und Aktivitäten.

DAS DORF WESTEN mit seinen etwa 1300 Einwohner:innen ist ein Teilort der Gemeinde Dörverden und ein zentraler Wirkungsort von FZ. Verschiedene Gruppen, Initiativen und Vereine setzen auf verschiedenen Ebenen die Ziele der Agenda 21 um. Dabei wird ein gemeinschaftliches und solidarisches Miteinander in ländlichen Strukturen gefördert. Beispiele sind dafür u.A. die wöchentlich stattfindende KÜFA (Küche für alle), der durch eine Elterninitiative betriebene Waldkindergarten, die durch einen Verein getragene Kneipe im Zentrum des Dorfes, das Mehrgenerationenhaus im Amtshaus, das mehrere Jahre von FZ verwaltet wurde, die offene Werkstatt als Projekt von FZ oder die politischen Veranstaltungen in der Reihe "Dörverden diskutiert", die verschiedene politische Themen aufgreift.

Die ZIELGRUPPE ist generell die Bevölkerung unterschiedlichen Alters und unterschiedlicher Zugehörigkeit in der Gemeinde, insbesondere im Dorf Westen. Alle Menschen im Dorf sind eingeladen, die Gemeindestrukturen mitzugestalten.
