The Social and Cultural Center - Mer et Colline, located in the 8th district of Marseille, is an association created in 1982 by the inhabitants.
It is a place of proximity and solidarity, composed of employees and volunteers who develop actions around youth, parenthood, culture, sports, well-being, professional and social support.
Through participative projects, educational, social and professional support, a leisure center for children and teenagers, a library and games library, convivial, sports, artistic and cultural proposals, the association tries to meet the needs of the inhabitants, children, teenagers, parents, adults, and ensures an unconditional welcome. Fight against illiteracy, valorization of women's speech, sense of citizenship, ecological awareness, professional insertion, intergenerational link, fight against isolation and discrimination, access to leisure and culture, are as many commitments at the heart of the social project of Mer et colline.
