Max Linder High School is the historic general and technological high school in Libourne, a city located in the Southwest of France, 45 km from Bordeaux and at the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards. The city has a population of 25,000 inhabitants.The high school is centrally located in the city and accommodates approximately 1900 students, including 120 post-baccalaureate students. The educational structure predominantly focuses on secondary education, offering 11 specialties and options in general baccalaureate, as well as three technological baccalaureates.
Higher education offerings include two tertiary-level Higher Technician Sections, available both in a school setting and through apprenticeship programs.
The school provides a diverse and rich linguistic program with five living languages: English, Spanish, German, Russian, and Arabic. A bilingual Bachibac section (French and Spanish baccalaureate) was introduced in 2022. This offering is complemented by European sections, which include Mathematics and Economics and Social Sciences taught in English, and Spanish euro class with Biology taught in Spanish.
Since the 2023 academic year, the school has offered an International French Baccalaureate (BFI) in English. The institution is also a partner in the twinning programs of the city of Libourne with English, German, and Spanish cities.
In 2023, Max Linder High School obtained School and Vet accreditations, as well as the Erasmus+ Charter for students.
