Description of organisation

The Evangelisches Heidehof Gymnasium is a private school held by the Protestant Church of Baden-Württemberg. It is state-approved as a general secondary school and leads to the German A-levels (Abitur). The school has two profiles, a scientific one and a language profile where the pupils can learn up to three languages (English as first language, French or Latin as second language, and Spanish as a third language).
In addition to the regular lessons, the school has various emphases such as living Christianity, social learning, intercultural learning, a musical-aesthetic education and democracy at school, and sustainability with are both experienced within the classroom and additionally in various working groups.
Concerning the things, a pupil should learn during their period at the Evangelisches Heidehof Gymnasium, the school places one of its main focuses on intercultural learning, where our regular Erasmus programs play an important role besides regular exchanges with Spain, France and Poland, a European cooperation project with Estonia and a development cooperation with a school in Togo.
Furthermore it is meant to be a school of democracy where pupils experience and learn about the bases of democratic understanding and thus makes them responsible citizenships when leaving school. And last but not least, a strong emphasis is put on the artistic and esthetic education of our pupils who have more art and music lessons than other schools .
