Description of organisation

CASTANEA SPECTACLES is an association producing live shows. It organizes the tour of shows
for children, sets up projects related to live shows, in particular the creation of an intergenerational and
participatory show during the summer of 2025 in the ruins of a Roman theater in St-Marcel. This intergenerational show will be the 4th
of this type. It is entirely written and directed by local actors, decorated by volunteers, and mixes
amateur and professional actors of all generations. It is performed the third week of August, which allows
rehearsals to be worked on the three weeks before. A troupe of children supported by an actor and rehearsing at the
same time as the adults also takes part in the show, which allows many families to play
together. The show is performed following these 3 weeks of rehearsals over 4 evenings from Thursday to Sunday. Each
performance welcomes between 150 and 200 spectators. It also brings together volunteers to serve meals and open the bar before and after each performance. It is mainly on this show that the volunteer will be involved in the second part of the year, with autumn and winter reserved for discovering the structure and touring.
