Description of organisation

Our school, l'établissement régional et lycée d'enseignement adapté (EREA-LEA) Françoise Dolto, is a dual school: collège and lycée professionnel. Around 130 young people aged 11 to 18 attend the school, most of them boarders, as they live in rural, isolated and outlying areas.
Located in a rural area, between Futuroscope and the Puy du Fou, the school is well known and recognised locally (by elected representatives, businesses and associations). It benefits from a very rich network of associations (cultural, traditional music, sports).
The majority of our pupils come from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, and benefit from an educational boarding school and specially adapted schooling: SEGPA (persistent academic and social difficulties), ULIS (cognitive impairment), recognised disabilities, allophones.
Our staff work on a daily basis during school time, but also during boarding time (clubs, evenings out and Wednesdays) to give more to these young people who have less. They propose motivating and ambitious projects to offset family deficits.
Our strategic orientations through the school project:
- Make the EREA-LEA a health-promoting establishment (development of psychosocial skills, working on health, prevention and the well-being of pupils and staff).
- Make the educational dimension of the school a lever for learning (non-violent communication, equality between girls and boys, preparation for professional integration, etc.).
