Description of organisation

Manitese Finale Emilia is a social promotion association in the province of Modena and is affiliated to Manitese Ong. We finance international cooperation projects and we fight against poverty and social exclusion in our context, tackling their causes by promoting sustainable local economic systems. Our target group is represented by: people with difficulties, to whom we try to offer an opportunity for expression and growth; local schools, with whom we collaborate to offer non-formal education on social and environmental issues; the local community, to whom we offer an alternative to make sustainable choices and be aware of global challenges. Our local projects are: second-hand market, born out to raise awareness of the importance of a model of re-use; Manigolde circular tailoring, to give a second life to clothes and fabrics transforming them into a unique garment; Manifatti Imperfetti ceramics workshop, where we work with realities that express a social demand and an expressive need, in order to spread the use of creativity and manual skills; social garden, an agricultural settlement that respects the principles of agroecology, creates aggregation and demonstrates a sustainable way of production; AlRiparo bar, a place for relationships, workshops and training. Volunteers are a vital part of our mission and we are really looking forward to meeting new young European volunteers
