The MJC Lorraine is a non-formal education association founded in 1955. With 2,800 members of all ages, the MJC is a dynamic place offering a wide range of creative and cultural workshops, as well as sports activities.
Each year, we organize events such as the Christmas Market, as well as the “Zone of Free Exchange,” a solidarity space where everyone can drop off toys, objects, or other items they no longer need.
In the 1980s, we created an audiovisual department. We welcome up to 150 young people there each year. They come to discover or develop skills in communication tools and the use of audiovisual production equipment.
In May 2024, we launched the “Va voir ailleurs – Go to Volontariat” program, a support scheme for young people wishing to engage in European volunteering. We offer them practical and enriching workshops designed to best prepare them for their departure and daily life abroad. These workshops aim to strengthen self-esteem, support social and professional integration abroad, and encourage greater independence. We also aim to increase the visibility of the European Solidarity Corps and other European volunteering programs.
We now wish to host a European volunteer in order to allow them to benefit from our technical and human expertise, while actively involving them in the life of our organization. They will also have the opportunity to create a video about their experience in France, which fits perfectly with our approach to expression and youth empowerment.
- This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
