Pälkäne is a small municipality located in southern Finland, known for its beautiful nature, lakes, and strong sense of community.

The Youth Services of the Municipality of Pälkäne aim to promote the well-being of young people, support their personal development, and strengthen their social skills and participation. A special focus is placed on enhancing young people's understanding of internationality and environmental responsibility, offering opportunities to experience and act in nature through sustainable development practices.

Youth work in Pälkäne is based on the core principles of Finnish youth work: young people’s voluntary participation, safety, inclusion, equality, and the promotion of active citizenship. Activities are built around the needs and interests of young people and emphasize community-building, creative expression, and peer interaction.

The main target group is 13-17 year olds, but activities are also organized for primary
school children and adults. Youth work services are intended for all young people under the age of 29. Youth work is carried out in youth centres, schools, events, and natural environments, and includes individual support, group activities, workshops, camps, and participatory projects that encourage young people to take initiative and engage in their community.
