Description of organisation

Shemool For Development Association “SFD” is a non-governmental organization located in Giza, dedicated to engaging youth in the community, empowering diverse people with fewer opportunities, and equipping them with the necessary skills, opportunities, and knowledge about their rights to enhance their overall quality of life. Shemool is an Arabic word meaning « inclusion ». Therefore, our vision is to foster an inclusive society where youth facing challenges are respected, empowered, and actively participate in all aspects of life. We strive to accomplish our mission by providing diverse people with fewer opportunities for the necessary training, skills, contacts, capacity building, and opportunities to improve their quality of life and make well-informed choices. Additionally, we work to increase their awareness of rights and access to various opportunities. A critical aspect of our work involves raising public awareness about people with fewer opportunities, the challenges they face, and the importance of their effective inclusion in society. Our core values include inclusivity, empowerment, respect, integrity, and innovation. Through collaboration with stakeholders, government agencies, and other organizations, we aim to build a comprehensive support network for people with fewer opportunities, giving them the tools and resources, they need to lead fulfilling lives and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
