Description of organisation

The Luxembourg Association for Intercultural Dialogue (ALDIC) is a civil society organisation founded in 2013 in Luxembourg, with a focus on fostering initiatives in the youth, culture, arts, and education sectors at both local and European levels. We envision a harmonious Luxembourg where young people and local communities thrive together in an inclusive and collaborative future. Our organisation's mission is to work on strengthening intercultural communication, and active citizenship in Luxembourg and Europe starting with young people and engaging other relevant stakeholders. Our objectives include strengthening cultural diversity, promoting non-formal education, empowering youth and community members to implement inclusive local projects, developing young people's skills through volunteer opportunities, and advocating for the active participation of youth in building a more inclusive society. Over the years, ALDIC has actively participated in youth events, such as the European Youth Events (EYE), and has expanded its reach through local projects addressing issues like anti-racism, anti-discrimination, countering hate speech, human rights, and enhancing political participation among young people. Since its establishment, ALDIC has successfully managed European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus projects, as well as projects funded by local partners and the European Youth Foundation, providing invaluable opportunities for more than 80 participants.

  • This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
