Description of organisation

Eskişehir Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate (EGSİM) is a public body under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye, dedicated to empowering young people through sports, volunteering, and non-formal education. Its main aim is to support the personal, social, and civic development of young people by promoting active citizenship, inclusion, environmental awareness, and healthy lifestyles. EGSİM manages 12 youth centers and various sports facilities across the province, offering free workshops, cultural and educational programs, volunteering opportunities, and local and international mobility projects. Through initiatives such as the Volunteer Youth Leaders Program, Free Summer Sports Schools, and Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects, it helps young people develop leadership, teamwork, and intercultural competences. The organisation’s main target group includes young people aged 13–30 from Eskişehir and surrounding regions, with a special focus on those with fewer opportunities, including rural youth, migrants, refugees, and young people with disabilities. EGSİM also supports youth workers, coaches, and local NGOs by providing training, mentoring, and opportunities for international cooperation.
