Description of organisation

Novotarium is a youth-led, non-profit organisation founded in 2024 in Požarevac, Serbia, with the mission to empower young people to become active participants in society. We promote human rights, democracy, volunteering, sustainable development, mental and physical health, cultural heritage, and modern skills. Our activities include workshops and training for youth and youth workers, public debates, cultural and ecological actions, mentoring, international cooperation, and Erasmus+ projects. We work closely with schools, cultural institutions, and NGOs, engaging local youth and educators, while our international network spans over 15 European countries. Since inception, we have implemented local actions such as cleaning campaigns, cultural heritage treasure hunts, outdoor cinema, and youth-led debates, as well as international exchanges and training in areas like media literacy, mental health, and sustainability. Our target groups are young people aged 13–30, youth workers, educators, and vulnerable groups. Through ESC, we aim to expand volunteering opportunities, strengthen solidarity across borders, and address societal challenges by fostering skills, inclusion, and civic engagement.
