Description of organisation

Grain&Sens is a non-profit association, supported by an intentional-agro-ecological community, aiming to transmit tools, practices and techniques which empower people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, to engage in a sustainable, healthy, and ethical way of life. Grain&Sens puts the wellness of human-beings and their environment at its core by practicing, and transmitting nonviolent communication, democratic decision making, inclusivity, equity, permaculture gardens, agroecological farming and regenerative land management. Grain&Sens’ main activities, which all seek to further our aim of transmitting tools and practices for a sustainable and ethical future, include: 1) supporting intentional community members in creating and managing sustainable entrepreneurial activities; 2) hosting visitors for trainings, workshops, and events which transmit tools for sustainable and ethical living; 3) offering free or sliding-scale activities and events for locals beyond the intentional community, including concerts, festivals, volunteer action days, meals, and gatherings ; 4) hosting and supporting summer interns, who gain skills and training in a variety of areas such as gardening, farming, baking, cooking, community-events management, and permaculture-design. Our target groups include youth, children, families, older people, women and people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. We offer sliding-scale pricing for our trainings and offer a wide-range of free events.
