Description of organisation

Our association is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities through holistic support and specialized services. Our Supported Living Residences (SLR) offer a permanent stay-accommodation designed to foster independence, personal development, and social inclusion. Key aims include improving each tenant's well-being and functionality through medical monitoring, high-quality education, creative employment, comprehensive care, socialization, and public awareness initiatives. We operate the “αξίΖΩ” (AXIZO) music workshop, providing daily music therapy lessons at our city-center facility. This program serves beneficiaries from both the Daily Care Center and Supported Living Residences, enriching participants’ emotional and social skills through therapeutic music activities. In the realm of sports, our association has built a strong foundation, starting with Bocce and Badminton and expanding in 2022 to establish a Special Olympics team. Our athletes have achieved remarkable participation, notably at the Panhellenic Special Olympics Hellas Games in Loutraki, reflecting our commitment to sports as a means of empowerment and social integration. Moreover, in collaboration with AxiZO IKE, we provide educational and professional training programs for people with intellectual disabilities. This partnership supports skill development and offers practical training opportunities, paving the way for enhanced autonomy and socialization.
