We are looking for 2 volunteers for 10 months: 1) At the secretary office: organisation of one of the most well-known festivals in the world. They create and manage initiatives aiming at promoting Festivaletteratura, a regular appointment for writers and readers since 1997. It is an international 5 days’ gathering of writers from all over the world, entertaining the audience with readings, talks, lectures, theatre shows and concerts. 2) At the archive: it opened its doors in 2010. Since then it has hosted students, scholars and all people who were interested in consulting materials. It comprises the digitization of a large part of the assets, which is divided into several sections: photographic, sound, audiovisual and graphics. All the publications of Festivaletteratura, the whole press release, a small library and an emeroteca (newspaper library) are available there, and testify the birth and the development of the Festival.
TranslateAccommodation, food and transport arrangements
The flat is located in the student house a few steps from the center of Mantova and to the office of Associazione Filofestival. The flat is made up of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a common living area. Inside the building there is a wifi and a laundry and a concierge service.
TranslateTraining during the project
The volunteers will partecipete to: - on arrival training - mid term evaluation - each month coordinating meeting with coordinating organization Cooperativa Alce Nero
TranslateVolunteer profile
Candidates should: - Be flexible and smart, interested and sensitive towards culture and literature, in the publishing world, and in the relationship between Internet, new technologies and culture. - Have good familiarity with computers and the internet, as well as precision and problem solving - Know Italian (at least B1), due to the specificity of the proposed activities - Have a good knowledge of English or French - Volunteer 1: Be pragmatic and open to follow different tasks, even apparently modest and simple - Volunteer 2: Have previous experienced cataloguing and data
