TranslateAccommodation, food and transport arrangements
The project is located in Pecs (South Transdanubia Region, Hungary), very close to the Croatian border. The population of Pécs is approx. 160.000 inhabitants: Pécs is the fourth biggest city in Hungary. Pécs is 200 km away from Budapest, the capital of Hungary, trains go there every hour. The Alliance Francaise will provide the volunteer a flat and he or she will be paid back spending in food. The volunteer can also have a bicycle if he or she wants.
TranslateTraining during the project
We always welcome two volunteers so the volunteer will get experimented guidance while participating. He will also attend Hungarian lessons and will participate to the EVS training sessions in Budapest.
TranslateVolunteer profile
The Alliance Française is looking for motivated young persons willing to discover another country, its lifestyle and habits, its people and way of thinking. Being in the European Union, the volunteer is expected to show tolerance and curiosity towards differences. We have favored in our selection process persons who showed desire to learn from others and who accept to be surprised. No previous qualifications were expected, apart from motivation and good understanding of the aims and principles of the EVS, as a mutually enriching experience both for the hosting organization and the volunteer.
