Description

The volunteers of the PYD Project will be directly involved in the planning, organization and implementation of non-formal activities in educational and social institutions in the city of Craiova, activities directed towards the achievements of the project objectives. The main activity of the project is a a 6 months EVS group activity that will involve 8 volunteers working in 3 institutions for disabled children and 3 high schools using non-formal methods and positive youth development principles to support the personal and professional development of 100 disabled and disadvantaged youngsters and 120 students from 3 high schools. GENERAL OBJECTIVE Decrease the level of social exclusion and increase the social life of children with disabilities useing non-formal education programmes that provide personal(self-confidence and self-esteem, independence, adaptability, creativity and ability to innovate, personal expression, sociability) and professional development.

Ordninger for innkvartering, mat og transport

Accommodation: CRES will host the volunteers in rented apartments in the city of Craiova. Each accommodation will assure good living conditions (private beds, equipped kitchen and bathroom, heating system, running cold/ hot water, Wi-Fi). Financial aspects: Local transport and international transport, accommodation and utility fees, monthly communication costs, costs related to activities are covered directly by CRES. Monthly food allowance: 100 euro/month

Training during the activity

Preparation, Adaptation and Training programme - which takes place immediately after volunteer arrival and represents an additional task related support and coaching programme that aims to help the induction process,matching expectations between all parties involved(organisation, volunteers, partners), task related and targeted skill increase There are 5 pillars that will be addressed by the PAT: -Team Building -Skills development -Code of conduct and project rules and procedures -Working place and target group induction -Planning and risk management

Participant profile

The main criteria will be self-identified needs and interests of the volunteer in terms of personal and professional development - such as learning about social work, youth work and non-formal methods, working with disabled and disadvantaged groups, tolerance and inter-institutional cooperation mechanisms development.
