Montferrand-du-Périgord is a small village (170inh), in a very rural eara, 130 km East from Bordeaux, part of a «district» of 20,000 inh. and therefore you will also be involved in projects concerning other villages. Our village combines people from different countries (British, German, Dutch). Starting from your culture and information from your country, we would like our youth to get familiar with the traditions and cultures of other countries. Our big aim is to improve cultural, economic, social and citizen life. As a volunteer, you will help us in our projects. Your EVS project will be based in the library, around 35hours a week. Taking into consideration your abilities and requests, between Books, Art and Culture, Sport, Intergenerational activities, you will plan and manage your own project. Our coordinating organization, Les FRANCAS, is in Périgueux. Its team will organise opportunities to meet other volunteers.
TranslateAccommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will live in a quiet and peaceful spot, in a separate flat with bathroom and small kitchen, close to your mentor’s house. It's located near the village. We will provide a car if needed for the working drives, to meet other people in the district and to get to the nearest railway station. You will receive 40€/month for petrol. For food, you will receive 210€/month and we will organize some cheap meals.
