This project "EVS in Ventspils city" is an opportunity for volunteer to improve themselves and learn new methods of working with young people and older generation of residents. This project will allow volunteer to experience and see Latvian culture, traditions, language and get to know the beautiful Latvian nature and changing seasons. The aim of the project is also in line with the aims of Ventspils Main Library. And it is to expand activities and events offers to Ventspils residents - young people, children and people from older generations.
TranslateAccommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will be assured with pocket money 90 Euro per month and money for food. Accommodations: Ventspils University College students dormitory is an nice place to stay. It consists of blocks – there are two private rooms, one shower and a toilet in every block. There is furniture in every room: a wardrobe, a bookshelf, chairs, a table and of course a bed and everything for sleeping :pillows and blankets. Mobility: dormitory is located in 15 min walking distance from place of work and towns center. Local transportation runs frequently every 5 min.
TranslateTraining during the project
During EVS volunteer will be participating in on-arrival and mid-term training's, provided by Jaunatnes starptautisko programmu aģentūra - Latvian national agency.
TranslateVolunteer profile
Volunteer should be age 18 - 30. Good English knowledge, communicable and willing to work with people different ages. Motivated to learn new skills and be open for new learning process, preferable basic knowledge in IT - creating posters, writing short stories and posts, taking pictures and image processing.
