Project description

The “Sustainability Quest Re:Boot” is a short term EVS project oriented to mobilizing and motivating young people of Zagreb to actively engage in the concept of sustainable development and give their personal contribution. The main focus of the voluntary service will be the organization of two events: (1) “Sustainability Challenge” is a 1-month long challenge aimed at actively encouraging sustainability among local youth. The volunteers will actively promote this challenge within the local community through local outdoor actions and via social media. They will also organise challenge launch event, personally take part in challenge and offer support, motivation and inspiration to the people taking part in challenge to keep their pledge. 2) “Days of Sustainable Development for Youth” (DORM) is a 1 day event that focuses on important aspects of sustainability: socially responsible entrepreneurship, environmental protection personal development through holistic approach.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation, food and transportation will be all provided. Food provided will be vegetarian as promoting vegetarianism is important to us from two aspects – sustainability and nonviolence. Costs of travel, accommodation, food, local transportation and activities will be covered by hosting organisation. The travel costs of participants will be covered up to maximal travel cost per country according to Erasmus+ program distance bands. The participants will receive fixed monthly allowance of 120€ in national currency equivalent (HRK).

• Have some experience with sustainable style of life • Positive and open-minded • The ability to work with and relate to young people from 15-25 years old, who may present a variety of needs and demonstrate challenging behaviour. • Good personal motivational, organisational and time-keeping skills as well as a flexible approach to working. • The ability to work as part of a team • An enthusiasm and commitment to develop yourself both professionally and personally throughout the project
