Project description

The aim of this project is to promote volunteering in the region of Auvergne and to help Concordia with its international activities. The volunteer will work together with another French volunteer and will become a part of our friendly team. In particular, the tasks will be the following: - To develop community life and promote Concordia Auvergne’s activities on the regional level (media communication, newsletter, forums, coferences, presentations); - To contribute to projects under Erasmus + (Youth Exchanges, Training Courses, EVS); - To participate in work camps season in summer (help with preparation and co-lead a camp). The detailed activities will be defined both by the volunteer and Concordia's staff, according to the volunteer's skills and interests. Moreover, within this EVS the volunteer will be invited to develop his/her own project.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will live in Concordia's flat, above the office. So he/she will have no need to use public transport to reach the working place. The volunteer will live with another EVS volunteer but will have his/her own room. The flat is well equipped and furnished to ensure a comfortable stay. It is located in the centre of the city: train & bus station & historical area are 10 min away. The accommodation, house services and Internet fees are 100% covered by Concordia. The volunteer will receive money for food (7,5 € per day) and pocket money (5 € per day) according to EVS funding rules.

Training during the project

The volunteer will be individually followed by a dedicated mentor. He/she will have free access to Online Linguistic Support provided by Erasmus+ to learn French following the flexible schedule of the online course. Moreover, French National Agency provides two seminars for EVS volunteers: on-arrival and mid-term, let them meet each other and share their experiences, and help to get the best out of their projects. Furthermore, Concordia gives an opportunity to the volunteer to pass the training for camp learders and co-lead international workcamps.

Volunteer profile

We are searching for an active and motivated person with the following qualities: - Adaptability - Good communication and presentation skills; - Flexibility and ability to communicate with different audiences; - Strong interest for non-formal education, its principles and advantages; - Good level of English and/or French or motivation to learn French; - Motivation to participate in European projects and international volunteering work camps; - Motivation to co-lead a group of international volunteers.
