Description
From 26th of August till 9th of September (2018) at BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina will be implemented a short-term EVS with a group of 14 volunteers. We will work in helping the staff at the sanctuary with their daily tasks (cleaning, preparing the food for bears etc.), participating in workshops and discussions about animal welfare, raising awareness on environmental issues, as well taking pictures and video footages at the sanctuary. During these two weeks, we will provide an opportunity for all the participants to experience cultural exchange, socialize, learn about topics like animal welfare, environmental protection, the cultural heritage of local people, and to gain new skills and experiences.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Accommodation: in provided tents (2 persons) in the Sanctuary. Basic facilities: toilets, showers, hot water, simple cooking place, electricity, limited internet. Volunteers will be cooking for themselves. Simple cooking facilities; vegetarian products will be provided. Reimburse of the travel costs will be done according to the E+ rules based on distance calculation and at receipt of original tickets. The environmental way of travelling is encouraged. Distance band calculator: 100-499km = 180euro, 500-1999km = 275euro, 2000-2999km = 360euro, 3000-3999km = 530euro, 4000-7999 km=820 euro
Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers will have the opportunity to take part in workshops and of discussions about animal welfare; - they will find the opportunity to learn about FOUR PAWS’ practices, standards and measures used in regards of animal welfare; - will learn about bears (bear biology and ecology); - learn about tradition of local people; - coexistence in peace with wilderness etc.
Profil du participant
