Tukums tourist information centre (TIC) promotes entrepreneurship, development of tourism entrepreneurship, maintenance and popularization of nature and cultural heritage. The volunteer will have possibility to join and implement daily activities of TIC. The examples of tasks are: - inspection (visit) of tourism objects, preparation of description about tourism objects, routes etc. materials in own language; - info materials translation (if volunteer can translate for example from English to his/her native language); - coordination and implementation of local tourism, culture, environment and society projects in cooperation with staff members; - communication in social networks and creation of tourism blog about Tukums, Kurzeme and Latvia in general; - organization and leading of language and thematic culture workshops for local inhabitants; - taking photos of local tourism objects and events for publishing in tourism publications and social
TranslateAccommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteer will share apartment with other volunteers. Apartment is 108m2 and includes 4 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom with toilet and hall. The apartment locates in the centre of town and volunteer will be able to reach the project placement by 5 min walking. Food money will be provided.
TranslateTraining during the project
On-arrival training course and mid-term evaluation training curse will be provided by National Agency. At work placement volunteers will receive individual tuition . Each volunteer will have mentor who will support volunteer in his/her learning.

We are looking for motivated volunteer who are interested to work in tourism. The period of volunteering is planned from September 2017 - July/August 2018
