The European Youth Energy Day, in the context of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), has been organised since 2020. It gives young participants (aged 18-34) the chance to get involved in Europe’s sustainable energy transition.

With 2022 declared the European Year of Youth, a prominent section of EUSEW will be once again dedicated to young people and clean energy. A Dialogue between Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson and young representatives will take place on the first day of the event, followed by a series of presentations of cutting-edge technologies, significant for clean energy advancement and youth.

In addition, the EUSEW Policy Conference (26-29 September) will host Youth Policy Labs, sessions involving youth organisations and/or addressing topics relevant for a young audience, proposed in an open call. These workshops are designed to implicate young people in the policy conversations about the energy future of Europe. The labs will facilitate the connections between the different stakeholders, youth and non-youth, and create value for both.
