The Chiny youth center aims at the socio-cultural development of the region, by offering young people who so wish activities for meetings, leisure and discovery. In this context, she has been participating for several years, in collaboration with the non-profit association “Chiny, Cité des Contes”, in the organization of the Chiny storytelling festival. This festival is held for a weekend, in the enchanting setting of the village of Chiny, and offers the public a whole series of storytelling performances, given in French by international storytellers.

The volunteers will work with young people from the region and the professional festival team (200 volunteers on the festival) to set up the performance halls, ensure stewardship during the festival, help with the good organization and finally dismantle the site at the end of the festival. The festival takes place on the weekend, the volunteers will work 10 days and will have 3 days of leisure and discovery at the end of the project. Chiny is a small town located in the Belgian Ardennes, in the Gaume region, near the French border. Various outdoor activities are available (kayak on the Semois, hiking, visit to the Château de Bouillon, the Abbey of Orval).
