Around the world, Oxfam is working to find concrete and innovative solutions so that everyone can lift themselves out of poverty and achieve their full potential. Oxfam also campaigns for the voice of poor people to be heard in local and international decisions that affect them. In everything it does, Oxfam works with partner organizations and with vulnerable women and men to end the injustices that cause poverty.

The volunteering project concerns the support for the establishment on August 27 and 28, 2022, of the 15th "Oxfam Trailwalker", which aims to fight against inequalities in the world. The challenge is to cover on foot and in a team of 4 people a distance of either 100 km in 30 hours maximum, or 25 km in 7 hours maximum. Alongside this, each team raises funds for Oxfam-Solidarity projects around the world. The volunteers will help, with 350 other volunteers of all ages, the Oxfam team to set up the facilities in order to receive the walkers (1,000) and their supporters in the best conditions (mounting the marquee, decorating the place …). During the event, they will be dispatched to different places along the route in order to support the organization (provide meals, water, welcome and support walkers, scanning, etc.). People who wish can take equipment to provide entertainment for the walkers: musical instruments, disguises... Volunteers will have a free day at the start of the project and at the end in Brussels.
