EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS workshops

The European Solidarity Corps aims to promote solidarity as a value, mainly through international volunteering, to enhance the engagement of young people and organisations in accessible and high quality solidarity activities in European communities.
During the workshops we will explain what is the European Solidarity Corps programme, we will invite actual and ex volunteers to share their testimonies, we will also benefit from experiences of accredited Moldovan organisations.
Every organisation participating in the workshops will be eligible to receive free mentoring from our experts throughout next 6 months, to support them in getting involved in international volunteering and to receive the accreditation / quality label. Finally, to help with establishing contacts with European organisations and to create common projects, our Recourse Centre will organise a study visit to Moldova in middle of September and coordinators of volunteering from various European countries will work directly with Moldovan organisations in establishing fruitful cooperation.
WORKSHOP’s PROGRAMME:
10:00 - 10:30 welcome of participants, introduction to the workshops programme, small presentations of participants and their expectations.
10:30 – 11:00 presentation of European Solidarity Corps programme.
11:00 – 11:30 small groups meetings with Moldovan volunteers who returned recently from their volunteering projects around Europe.
11:30 – 12:00 coffee-break
12:00 – 12:30 small groups meetings with international volunteers who do their projects in Moldova
12:30 – 13:00 summary of the morning part, questions and answers
13:00 – 14:00 lunch
14:00 – 15:00 meeting with successful Moldovan organisations implementing European Solidarity Corps projects
15:00 – 15:30 presentation of the mentoring system for organisations interested to be involved in European Solidarity Corps programme as well as the plans for September study visit of international projects’ coordinators to Moldova
15:30 – 16:00 summary of the workshops, final questions and answer, closure
