This idea of this project comes from a discussion with young people members of our youth club during Covid-19, a short survey on data gathered from international third-level students, and youths in rural direct provision in Cork who feel that such initiative is lacking to support see opportunities which will guide them to succeed in adulthood.

Our program is called Diversity Career, Job & Education Fair 2022: It will be a one-day-only open event where Cork-based employers, companies, recruiters, colleges, and organizations can connect with young people of fewer opportunities including those of diverse and multilingual backgrounds who are job seekers and or a seeking career path guidance and those who are eager to give back and contribute to the Irish economy.

The event's second edition seeks to offer our target audience a better understanding of opportunities available to them in the local, national & EU labor market also voluntary sectors.

There will be a European Solidary Corps & Erasmus+ opportunities stand and talk to guide those who will like to know more in this youth work field.

Local Businesses will also have a chance to recruit on the spot as well as introduce diversity and inclusion into their workplace.

To celebrate the European Year of Youth 2022, we want this event to offer a unique opportunity for Asylum seekers with the New Employment Permit to find out how to go about getting a job in Ireland, particularly in Cork and its environs; as well as meet organizations and agencies that can assist them in setting up their own businesses; job readiness, CV clinic, and 1 to 1 on the spot mentoring further adding value to the Irish economy.

Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Irish job market, attend workshops on interview tips and skills, write CVs and cover letters according to Irish standards, upscaling themselves for job prospects through education and training as well as increase their professional network.
Objective

This Job Fair” aims to bring together a cross-section of migrants and young people from diverse backgrounds with employers, companies, colleges, recruiters, and other organizations in other to gain employment, start a business and/or gain access education and training so as to reach their economic independence and promote their integration in Irish society.

This Project will be a second edition, the first edition was on 19/02/2020 before Covid-19
